How to get the most out of a Wedding Fair

Many couples get engaged over Christmas and New Year and huge congratulations to any of you who have. So where to start?

Wedding Fairs are a great way to start your planning process, meet local and reportable suppliers and gain inspiration for your big day. Here are some tips to get the most out of your wedding fair experience.

Don’t be afraid to speak with the suppliers, most are not expecting a booking on the day, they are simply there to show case what they do and meet prospective clients, so just enjoy having a really good chat with them.

Don’t rush; make your way around the stands in your own time, going back revisiting any you really like.

Get there early; free samples can be gone within a few hours and goodie bags are usually offered to the first brides there depending on who is organising the event.

Give your email address: Only if you want too of course but by saying yes to the mailing list you guarantee being contacted by all the suppliers (just in case you missed any).

Depending on how far you are into your planning you may want to only seek those suppliers you need to book. Have a plan before you go, write a list of suppliers you need and see those first.

When you get home sort all the literature collected into two sections, those you are interested in and those you are not. Make notes; keep in a safe place and research websites before making a decision to contact further.

Some excellent fairs coming up are:

  • Apex Wedding Fair, Bury St Edmunds, Sunday 18th January 2015
  • The Newmarket Wedding Show, Newmarket Racecourse, Sunday 25th January 2015
  • Kings of Newmarket, Newmarket, Sunday 8th February 2015.

Angelic Weddings will be at all of these fairs and look forward to meeting you to discuss your big day inspirations.
